This patient desired to have cosmetic ear surgery because he felt his ears stuck out. Otoplasty is a procedure that “pins” the ears closer to the head to create a flatter, more natural look. Seattle cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Craig Jonov, performed ear pinning surgery, which involved manipulating some of the internal cartilage and then suturing the ears so they no longer protrude. The results from the surgery created an ear appearance that looks normal. Otoplasty can be performed on one ear, or both ears. In this patient’s case, both ears were surgically corrected.
